Advertise with Bay Nature

Bay Nature is an expression of the community of people striving towards the goal of a sustainable Bay Area. A major component of that community is the suite of businesses, institutions, and organizations that advertise in Bay Nature magazine and on BayNature.org. They understand that advertising in these venues is an effective way to communicate with a targeted audience of those who enjoy and care about the natural world of the Bay Area.

Our magazine readers and site visitors in turn benefit from learning about a range of local businesses and providers of products and services that aid in their exploration of the natural world and that help them live more sustainably.

Last but not least, advertisers in Bay Nature magazine and BayNature.org provide Bay Nature Institute with crucial financial support for maintaining these high-quality venues for education about the natural world of the Bay Area.

Advertising on BayNature.org

BayNature.org is the San Francisco Bay Area’s #1 website for finding and learning more about things to do outdoors.  Traffic to the site has increased steadily since 2008, and unique visits leaped by 10% per month since the start of 2012.  We are projected to reach over half a million in the next twelve months.

Our flagship print publication, Bay Nature Magazine, has become one of the region’s most respected niche publications.  Now in its 12th year, the award-winning Bay Nature is read by thousands of influential people dedicated to enjoying and protecting local parks, wildlife and nature.  Each issue of the quarterly magazine is archived on our website.

Bay Nature’s journalistic coverage of original topics, along with gorgeous photography from all across the nine Bay Area counties, provide an excellent venue for top tier advertising.  Businesses, entrepreneurs, travel and destination locations, publishers, membership-driven nonprofit organizations, and large public agencies reach a highly targeted and educated audience of active and engaged Bay Area residents, passionate about the extensive range of relevant subjects we cover.

In August 2012 Bay Nature launches Trailfinder, a new interactive map-based trail and park finder.  The new site, built in collaboration with Bay Area Open Space Council’s Transit and Trails, GreenInfo Network, and iNaturalist.org, will bring together many of the finest resources to provide invaluable assistance in discovering our regional nature nearby.

The new BayNature.org is a perfect vehicle to help your business reach a highly targeted, desirable audience.  Please review the detailed specifications for each of our ad levels.  Contact us for affordable print/web packages.  We can provide free consultation services for your media mix.
