Join us as we explore the water resources along the Marin Headlands on October 26-28 and November 9-11. We will focus on the Pacific Ocean and the affect climate change has on the ocean’s ecosystems.
Cal Alive! is proud to conclude its educator professional development series on California’s water resources and climate change with its Pacific Coast Institute. While at NatureBridge at Golden Gate (formerly Headlands Institute), participants will study marine ecology, marine chemistry, tide pools, local dairy and oyster farms, and local harbor seal populations. These topics will be covered through a combination of hands-on activities and team field investigations specifically geared for 6th through 12th grade educators.
This course includes room and board for two weekends along the Pacific Coast. Participants will also receive a teacher guide to help them incorporate the activities discussed into their classroom. Regular registration is $300, but if you register BEFORE March 30th, you will qualify for the early-bird fee of $200!
