Join us along the shores of the California Delta on November 2-4. There we will combine inquiry-based activities and water quality monitoring to show how this region’s water resources as well as bird migration, fisheries, and local agriculture are being impacted by climate change.

Cal Alive! is proud to present our Sacramento-San JoaquinDelta Institute as a part of our teacher professional development series focusing on California’s waterresources and climate change. In this course, we will focus on the delta as theheart of the state’s water resources as it transports water to both the BayArea and the pumps heading down to Southern California. Participants will studythis unique region and see how climate change is impacting its flora and faunaby participating in various hands-on activities, water quality monitoring, anda boat trip along the Sacramento-San Joaquin River.

This course is geared for 6th through 12thgrade teachers and environmental educators. Every activity is CaliforniaScience Standards based and participants will receive a teacher guide to helpthem adapt these activities for their classroom. Registration is only $75.
