Docents Amy and Mike Sanchez would like to show you how to spot and identify local birds. You’ll walk at a moderate pace on this 2.3-mile trek, with stops at trail intersections and at special points of interest only. You’ll explore the Zinfandel Trail and circle a seasonal pond on the Bear Meadow Trail. (Note: Arrive early to find parking.) Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after July 12.
Meet at the Picchetti Ranch Preserve parking lot. From the intersection of I-280 and Foothill Expressway, go 3.5 miles southwest (toward the mountains) on Foothill Boulevard/Stevens Canyon Road. Turn right on Montebello Road. The preserve is 0.5 miles up Montebello Rd. on the left.
