ZOOM! BUZZ!! SWOOSH! What was that??? Big flying BUGS!

Come join Docent Jan and his friends for an interesting and educational late morning hike to a pretty little pond where we will learn all about the big flying bugs of our area. Who might those be?  Why Dragonflies of course!  Dragonflies lead an amazing and fascinating life full of drama and excitement. Come learn all about it while going to see the very critters themselves. If you like a to take pictures, you are in for a treat. Some of these are startlingly beautiful.

It is a relatively short hike bit it does have one big hill. So you will need to be ambulatory (slow is just fine) to be able to get up to this pond. Don’t worry, we will take our time ad make lots of stops along the way to learn about dragonflies and how they are aptly named.

Kids welcome on this hike. Sorry, no pets. This is a preserve and the wildlife is pretty good about not spooking when we come around the bend.

(This property is still closed to the public and there is a private residence inside it, so please do not go without staff, out of courtesy for the Blair family.)
