Join docents Bill and Marilyn Bauriedel, and June Cancell on this mid-morning 3-mile walk along the Stevens Creek Trail. Bring your binoculars if you have a pair. The docents will have a few extra pairs to use plus a shared-spotting scope to study birds that may be farther away. If you are a novice birdwatcher and want to learn a few of the key identification characteristics of some of the difficult to identify shore birds this hike is for you. All levels of birdwatchers are welcome.
For this activity at Stevens Creek Shoreline Nature Study Area, meet in the Kite Area parking lot at Shoreline-at-Mountain View Park. From Highway 101, take Shoreline Boulevard east to the Shoreline Park entrance. After passing the entrance kiosk, turn right into the parking lot.
