Birding Guadalupe River Park and Gardens, Led by Greg Kerekes, a fundraiser for the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory’s bird conservation programs www.sfbbo.org.
The Guadalupe River flows from the Santa Cruz Mountains through downtown San Jose and to San Francisco Bay, serving as a wildlife corridor. The Guadalupe River Park and Gardens in San Jose is home to a large number of bird species year round and serves as a rest stop for migrant birds. Join local naturalist Greg Kerekes in a three-hour bird watching adventure along the river and through the gardens. No prior birding experience needed; experienced birders can reinforce their knowledge. Walk is open to all ages.
