Explore the depths of Stevens Canyon and a coastal panorama from Long Ridge Preserve on this fast paced, 10-mile, 2,000-foot elevation gain hike. Docents Fran Keeler and Ranjana Sharma will guide you on a descent to Stevens Creek and a visit to Table Mountain before ascending to sweeping vistas from the Hickory Oaks Trail. you’ll return on the riparian corridor along Peters Creek.
For this activity at Long Ridge Open Space Preserve, meet at the Grizzly Flat trailhead on the west side of Skyline Boulevard 3.6 miles north of Highway 9, or 3.3 miles south of Page Mill Road. If you are traveling from the north on Skyline Blvd., the pullout is just past Portola Heights Road on the right. From the south, the pullout is near the Palo Alto city limits sign on the right.
