This is your chance to enjoy fresh chestnuts in the Santa Cruz Mountains on a 5-mile hike with docents Mary Bernstein, Kandis Scott, and Sarah Schoen. you’ll travel along the Fir Knoll, Christmas Tree, and Chestnut Trails on the way to and from the orchard, as you explore lake and forest habitats with an eye for seasonal changes. you’ll have an opportunity to purchase chestnuts and honey at the orchard.
Meet at the Skyline Ridge Preserve parking lot on Skyline Boulevard located one mile south of the Page Mill/Alpine Road and Skyline Blvd. intersection. After entering the preserve, turn right and go to the farthest parking lot. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 45 minutes travel time.
