The Lagunitas Creek Watershed here in West Marin is showing signs of Spring, calling you back to take part in one of the most engaging hands-on volunteer opportunities of the year!

Juvenile salmon are migrating to the ocean and we need helpers to assist staff biologists at three monitoring stations in the San Geronimo Valley. Volunteers are needed every day in the morning, seven days a week, to help record data on the out-migration of coho and steelhead smolts from local creeks to the ocean. Coho and steelhead smolt monitoring starts March 17!

To volunteer with the monitoring project, email Melinda Barnes or call her at: the office (415) 663-8590×114 orĀ  cell: (409) 457-5762.
