In the fall of 2011, world class multi-sport endurance athlete Terri Schneider led a team of four on a unique trekking and mountain biking journey across the magical and inaccessible country of Bhutan. In a quest to discover ‘What Matters’ to the people whose king has declared ‘Gross National Happiness’ to be the country’s benchmark for success, these intrepid explorers made a documentary film of their first-of-its-kind adventure, a cultural inquiry which will be completed in 2013 (www.whybhutan.com). Join Terri for slides and stories of this rare and remarkable 42-day expedition, as it unfolded from conception to adventure. Terri will also share her experiences living in Bhutan for part of 2012, volunteering with the Bhutan Olympic Committee.
