Spring is the perfect time to hike up to the top of this Preserve while the air is still cool. Docents Laura Levin, Dennis Smith, Lynn Jackson, and Bill Korbholz will lead you on a moderately-paced, 4-mile hike along the Jones, Novitiate, Manzanita, and Serpentine Trails, with frequent stops to appreciate fine manzanita forests and spring wildflowers. While enjoying lunch at the summit, you’ll have a 360-degree view encompassing the Santa Clara Valley and San Francisco Bay on a clear day. You’ll see why 19th-century Jesuits chose this spot for their seminary and vineyards. (Note: Participants will carpool to the trailhead.)
