Step back in time and explore the history of Bear Creek Redwoods Preserve. Docents Jenny Whitman, and Tommi and Strether Smith will be joined by guest historian Dick Gehrer to take you on a 5-mile exploration of the former Alma College site and what is now a surrounding preserve. you’ll hear stories of the three lavish estates that once stood where the Alma College buildings are now situated and you’ll be shown an amazing collection of photographs and maps dating back to the 1880s. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after August 23.
