An innovative approach to place-based learning. Two workshops designed for K – 8th grade teachers and educators, each held in iconic natural science centers. Learn and try proven, low-cost, effective activities for educating today’s students about the environment. Day 1 (March 15) Project Learning Tree certification, will be held at the Abby Sobrato Science & Sustainability Center at Walden West in Saratoga, CA. Day 2 (March 29) Project Water Education for Teachers certification, will be held at the Environmental Volunteers EcoCenter in the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve. Continuing Education Units are available for BOTH workshops. There is a discount if you attend BOTH workshops, otherwise $20, which includes a full K-8 or K-12 curriculum and activity guide, instruction, access to local environmental education resources, and LUNCH!!!
