November 19 – 21, 2012
At our Thanksgiving Camp: Gadgets and Gizmos, we will explore the forces, laws and concepts of physics (electricity, magnetism, gravity, Newton’s Laws of Motion, simple machines, etc.) while creating an array of cool contraptions. In addition to building gadgets and gizmos every day, we’ll do fun and creative art projects, play outdoors and watch science movies.
Each child will make and take home:
- Mini-mechanical Robot
- Slam Dunk Basketball Catapult
- Light-up Spinning Top
- Motion Picture Phenakistoscope
- Motorized Vibrating Robot
- Crazy Kaleidoscope
Thanksgiving Camp will be held at the Lake Merritt United Methodist Church in Oakland from November 19 – 21. Camp hours are from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm. The fee is $95/day (daily attendance is fine). To learn more or to register, call our office at (510) 581-3739 or visit us on the web.
