Curious to learn more about the decades-long relationship between the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (MROSD) and Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST)? Come join MROSD General Manager Stephen E. Abbors and POST President Walter T. Moore for a moderately-paced, 4- to 5-mile hike at Windy Hill Preserve, POST’s first land acquisition project in the late 1970s and first major land transfer to the District. Docents Ed Lange and Paul Billing will also accompany you on this hike. You’ll find out how iconic Windy Hill came to be protected, and learn about past successes, current projects, and future goals resulting from this fruitful conservation partnership. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after May 2.

Meet at the lower Windy Hill Preserve parking lot. From I-280, exit Alpine Road in Portola Valley. Go south on Alpine Rd. about 2.9 miles to Portola Road (the first stop sign). Turn right on Portola Rd. and travel 0.8 miles to the parking lot on the left side of the road.

Preregistration is required. Find out more at the MROSD page for this event.
