Explore the southwestern Lobitos Creek tract of this Preserve with docents David Milburn, Judy Fenerty, and Tanya Clausius. After switch backing up Bald Knob, you’ll visit a few one-of-a-kind redwoods including the Reiteration Tree and the Tunnel Tree accessed from the Lobitos Creek Trail. This 7-mile, moderately-paced, somewhat rugged terrain hike includes a lunch break atop a fallen redwood.

For this activity at Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve, meet at Skeggs Point, a Caltrans vista point on the east side of Skyline Boulevard, about 4 miles north of La Honda Road (Highway 84), or 1.5 miles south of Kings Mountain Road, or 8.6 miles south Highway 92. Please note that Caltrans prohibits a left turn into the lot when approaching from the north along Skyline Boulevard.
