Date: From November 23 through December 1, 2012
Time: Varies with each day and event, see www.filoli.org for complete details
Location: 86 Cañada Road, Woodside, CA 94062
A Bay Area favorite, Filoli’s spectacular nine-day Holiday Traditions fundraising event begins Friday evening, November 23, 2012. With this year’s theme, Let There Be Magic, rooms throughout the first floor of the historic House and Visitors Center are transformed into a unique, magical showcase and holiday atmosphere that delights and inspires each guest as they enjoy the stunning decorations, festive music and exceptional merchandise of the Holiday Boutique. Numerous local choral and performing groups and Bay Area musicians’ music will add to the ambiance throughout this one-of-a-kind event.
The kickoff to Holiday Traditions is the popular Premier Access Shopping Evening, Friday, November 23rd, where visitors enjoy live music, wine and appetizers. The Saturday Evening Dinner Party, an elegant occasion of dining and dancing to live music in the Ballroom, is a memorable way to celebrate the season. The popular Joe Sharino Band performs in the ballroom for concert style music, dancing and entertainment. In March of 2011, The Joe Sharino Band won their 17th Best Band Award from the 2011 Metro Magazine “Best of Silicon Valley Best of Readers 2011 Poll.” They are very charismatic and versatile, with the ability to energize their audience.
Buffet lunches and evening bistro dining are available at select times during the week with advance reservations.
The collaborative efforts of more than 600 volunteers, along with Filoli staff, create Holiday Traditions each year. This long-standing event is Filoli’s largest and most beloved fundraiser and supports the preservation and stewardship of this historic site. Visit www.filoli.org for complete event activities.
