Count the number of bridges you can see on San Francisco Bay from the Bay Area Ridge Trail with docents Ed North and Lina Mesa on this fast-paced 9-mile hike. You’ll walk to the far end of Russian Ridge Preserve and back, and see one of the few operating windmills in the Bay Area on this 800-foot elevation gain excursion.

Meet at the Russian Ridge Preserve parking lot on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right). Those driving from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time.
