Explore slime molds and other slimy organisms with docents Debbi Brusco, Jack Owicki, and Jan Hintermeister. If you’re lucky, your hand lens will reveal beautiful small worlds that you didn’t know existed. This hike will cover 3.5 miles along the Canyon and Stevens Creek Nature Trails, at a leisurely, then moderate pace on the return. Bring a hand lens if you have one; close-focus binoculars may also be helpful.

Meet at the Monte Bello Preserve parking lot located on Page Mill Road (across from Los Trancos Preserve), 7 miles west of I-280 or 1.5 miles east of Skyline Boulevard. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 35 minutes travel time.
