SUMMARY:King Tides walk!
DESCRIPTION:For the last of winter's highest tides\, Saturday\, Feb. 9\, join Friends of Five Creeks and Berkeley Path Wanderers Assn. to explore how the Berkeley-area shoreline may change as global warming brings sea-level rise\, how flooding and erosion may affect us\, and what happens to shore-dependent wildlife.     Meet at 10 AM at Sea Breeze Deli\, University Avenue just west of I-880/580 (AC Transit 51B\, easy bike ride on Bay Trail and/or bridge over freeway). This will be an easy\, level walk; we'll also enjoy a new extension of the Bay Trail and see exciting restorations.  This walk should be do-able for strollers and wheelchairs except for a few short excursions. Sorry\, no dogs -- they are excluded from some areas we will visit.  Information at f5creeks@aol.com or 510 848 9358.
