The Laguna Foundation seeks volunteers who want to learn about the Laguna and share their knowledge and enthusiasm with school children.

Volunteers learn about the plants, animals and cultural history of the Laguna and how to teach dynamic, hands-on environmental education activities for 2nd – 4th grade students. Then, teams of trained docents lead engaging classroom visits and field trips to Laguna Preserves for the Learning Laguna school program.

The training course begins on March 11th, 2013 and runs through May 13st. The ten training classes are held once a week on consecutive Mondays from 10:00AM -3:00 PM.

Informational meetings will be held on Wednesday, February 20 and Thursday, February 28, 2013  from 6:00-7:30 p.m in Great Blue Heron Hall at the Laguna Environmental Center: 900 Sanford Road, Santa Rosa
