Join docents Karen DeMello, Vern Selvy, and Cathy Brown on this relaxed 2.5-mile hilly walk where you’ll experience the magic of daylight to dusk to darkness. Learn about the annual November 17 Leonid Meteor Showers, the upcoming December 21 Mayan Calendar, and the night sky. Bring a flashlight (with red cellophane covering if possible), a sitting pad (optional), and binoculars (if you have them). Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after November 1.
Meet at the Russian Ridge Preserve parking lot on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right). Those driving from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time.
Preregistration is required. Find out more at the MROSD page for this event.
