DESCRIPTION:After a leisurely 2-mile natural history hike on the Alpine Pond\, Ipiwa\, and Butano View Trails with docents Keith Johnsgård and Madeline Brane\, you'll lunch at the hog barn and hear an hour long talk about the recent landmark analysis of 185 mountain lion attacks on humans in North America. you'll learn guidelines for sensible hiking and outdoor activities in lion country. (Note: This activity is intended for participants 14 years or older and is not suitable for younger children.) Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after August 23.     This Skyline Ridge Preserve activity will meet at the Russian Ridge Preserve parking lot located on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right). Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time.    Preregistration is required. Find out more at the MROSD page for this event.
