Join East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD), REI, and Volunteers for Outdoor California (V-O-Cal) for a volunteer service project at Wildcat Canyon Regional Park’s Tilden Nature Area. In celebration of National Public Lands Day, we’ll work on the Laurel Canyon and Pine Tree Trails. Projects will include restoring trail tread to provide safe access to the Nature Area and repairing/reconstructing drainage structures to prevent damage to this sensitive habitat. No prior experience is necessary; EBRPD will provide all tools and safety instruction. Ages 14 and older are welcome to participate; anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Breakfast snacks and lunch will be provided by V-O-Cal. Enter to win a great gear prize from REI and take home swag. The maximum number of volunteers needed is 50. To register (required), and find out where to meet and what to bring, visit www.rei.com/berkeley.
