Meet at Noon at the entrance to the Rotary Nature Center at Lake Merritt on the corner of Perkins and Bellevue

Did you ever want to figure out how to get more out of the camera you currently have and use it to capture beautiful photos of Lake Merritt, the jewel of Oakland? This is your chance! Bring your camera (point and shoot or SLR) and your desire to learn. Our hour long course will go over the basics of composition, camera settings, plant photography and wildlife photography. An opportunity to have photographs you took on our outing examined with feedback will also be available for those that want it via Flickr. Handouts on camera basics will be distributed.

We will meet rain or shine. If there is rain, please bring rain gear and plastic bags to cover your gear with.

Your instructor will be Damon Tighe, a freelance photographer that publishes regularly in Bay Nature and other magazines.
