Volunteers are needed to restore Oakland’s Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline Park through removal of trash & invasive plants. Workday volunteers will clean-up more than one mile of shoreline and remove more than a quarter mile of ice plant, non-native grasses and acacias as well as preparing the land for mulching and planting along the bank.

The Student Conservation Association is partnering with East Bay Regional Parks and Pick-Up America to provide much needed shoreline restoration work, where volunteers can participate in a community event, gain green job skills and meet like-minded new friends.
