SUMMARY:Oakland Shoreline Community Clean Up and Habitat Restoration
DESCRIPTION:Volunteers are needed to restore Oakland's Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline Park through removal of trash & invasive plants. Workday volunteers will clean-up more than one mile of shoreline and remove more than a quarter mile of ice plant\, non-native grasses and acacias as well as preparing the land for mulching and planting along the bank.    The Student Conservation Association is partnering with East Bay Regional Parks and Pick-Up America to provide much needed shoreline restoration work\, where volunteers can participate in a community event\, gain green job skills and meet like-minded new friends.
