Join us and partners at Alto Bowl Horseowners Association to celebrate our 40th anniversary with a broom-busting pizza party and raffle.

Over the past 15 years we have pushed back invasive French and Scotch broom on this open space preserve. Now we need your help to make a final push into the broom frontier on the western part of the preserve. The work site is located about ΒΌ-mile up toward the top of the hill. We will pull broom and sow native grass seed. The work requires considerable strength and stamina.

It is possible for volunteers as young as 5 years old to join if teamed with a parent or guardian. Members of the Alto Bowl Horseowners Association will talk about their horses living on the preserve and participants will have a chance to meet them up close.

Meet near the intersection of Lomita Dr and Greenfield Ct.
