Experience firsthand what makes the Presidio of San Francisco a birding hotspot.

Families join experience birders in teams on different routes throughout the Presidio to catch glimpses of the many different species of birds that call this area home. After an easy, one-hour walk counting observed bird life, groups will return to El Polin Spring to tally their numbers during lunch. The day will be topped off with presentations of the day’s numbers by kids. Last spring, the count was 50 different birds! The event starts off with a 30-minute binocular boot camp and birding basics. RSVP required.
