SUMMARY:Round Valley guided hike with Save Mount Diablo
DESCRIPTION:We have just released "Round Valley\," a free audio guide describing the natural and human history of one of the most beautiful publicly owned grasslands in the East Bay. Join Seth Adams\, director of Land Programs\, on a tour showcasing the route and stories from the audible guide of Round Valley Regional Preserve on the eastern slopes of Mount Diablo. Known for the abundant prey species that hide in its grass\, Round Valley naturally attracts predators\, including badgers\, bobcats\, golden eagles\, and mountain lions. It also provides habitat for the Bay Area's rarest mammal\, the San Joaquin kit fox. This moderately paced 6 + mile hike has about 800ft. elevation gain/loss. There are restrooms and a picnic area at the staging area. No dogs allowed. Details: R.S.V.P. required to  smdinfo@savemountdiablo.org or (925) 947-3535. Visit our Hike Calendar for more information. Can't join us for the hike? Download the free audible guide to enjoy it anytime.
