DROP IN FOR 2012 “SATURDAYS ARE SPECIAL”
AT THE RANDALL MUSEUM!
Saturdays at the Randall Museum are chock-full of special drop-in activities for families. The Golden Gate Model Railroad exhibit is open from 10am-4pm and the Randall’s ongoing exhibitions are open all day. Drop-in family ceramics classes start at 10:15am. “Saturday Science” is a morning workshop designed to explore the wonders of science with a different activity each week from 10:30am to 11:30am; and the “Afternoon Art” workshops get artists of all ages creating new works each week between 1pm & 4pm! Plus, there is a live animal presentation every Saturday at 11am.

“SATURDAY SCIENCE” DROP-IN SCIENCE WORKSHOPS:
Fee $4 per child (All children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult)
10:30-11:30am, Nov. 3: BAT SCIENCE
“Hang” with the Randall’s live bats and learn all about these amazing flying mammals, then create a spooky swooping flying bat for some post-Halloween fun!
10:30-11:30am, Nov. 10: LAVA LAMPS
Oil and water don’t mix. Find out how fun this physics fact can be by making your own psychedelic Lava Lamp.
10:30-11:30am, Nov. 17: TURTLES & TORTOISES
Meet some of the Randall’s live turtles and tortoises to see just how terrific these creatures are. Paint a watercolor habitat to show how the different types of animal live.
10:30-11:30am, Nov. 24: COMPASSES
Even before GPS people could navigate the around the world! Create a compass and discover the amazing characteristics of magnets.
