SUMMARY:Search for the Everlasting at Picchetti Ranch
DESCRIPTION:Join docents Bob Segalla and Greg Azevedo to enjoy this Preserve so close to home. You can decide if the everlasting plant smells like maple syrup. A lovely view awaits you along the Orchard Loop and Zinfandel Trails\, and you can listen to the sound of Stevens Creek as you enjoy lunch at a Santa Clara County Park picnic area. This moderately-paced\, 5-mile hike with a couple of 200-foot climbs is suitable for capable children. A visit to the Picchetti Winery for tasting is optional (on your own) at the hike's end.    Meet at the Picchetti Ranch Preserve parking lot. From the intersection of I-280 and Foothill Expressway\, go 3.5 miles southwest (toward the mountains) on Foothill Boulevard/Stevens Canyon Road. Turn right on Montebello Road. The preserve is 0.5 miles up Montebello Rd. on the left.    Events subject to change. Please always check the MROSD page for this event before you go.
