Join docents Tommi and Strether Smith on this 5-mile exploration of the history and trails of this Preserve. On the hike you’ll pass by the Older house and discuss the history behind it and its builders and restorers on your way to several spectacular viewpoints overlooking the Santa Clara Valley. Bring a lunch to enjoy at one of the great overlooks.
Meet at the Picchetti Ranch Preserve parking lot. From the intersection of I-280 and Foothill Expressway, go 3.5 miles southwest (toward the mountains) on Foothill Boulevard/Stevens Canyon Road. Turn right on Montebello Road. The preserve is 0.5 miles up Montebello Rd. on the left.
