Hike the trails of this Preserve with docents Liz Farnsworth and Emma Finter while exploring for signs that winter is approaching, including viewing woodrat nests, and searching for various bushes with berries. You’ll travel along the Blue Oak and Dick Bishop Trails and also take in the views from the top of the Dusky-footed Woodrat Trail on this moderately-paced, 4.5-mile, round-trip outing with hills and uneven terrain.

Where to meet:

Meet at the Pulgas Ridge Preserve parking lot. From I-280, exit Edgewood Road. Travel 3/4 mile east on Edgewood Road toward San Carlos/Redwood City. Turn left (north) on Crestview Drive, then immediately turn left on Edmonds Road. Follow Edmonds Rd. to the preserve entrance on the right.
