Unique hanging succulent planters handmade by you!

Hypertufa mimics the look of granite without the weight, making it an ideal material for hanging containers with gracefully draping succulents. Join us for this free, two-part work day where you will learn to make these unique containers and discover how to plant them in stunning arrangements. The first class will focus on perfecting the technique for making the satellite container through the creation of several containers. A container will go home with you as a thank you for your hard work; the others will be used in our nursery operation. The following week, once the containers have dried sufficiently, you will learn how to plant these unique containers with expert plant selection and placement instruction.

Learn a new technique, take home a souvenir, and volunteer for the garden all at this free workday. A selection of succulents and soil mix will be available for purchase after both events. This event day will be held rain or shine.  Please call the Garden Office at (925)944-9352 to reserve your spot today as space is very limited!
