“Sweet 116″ Event Celebrating Valentine’s Day
Taste Route 116 will host Sweet 116 for a second year from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Last year’s event was a complete sell out and guests were thrilled with the one of a kind take home souvenir that came with each ticket. Guests will get to choose their logo glasses hand painted by local artists. Each one is unique and a very valuable keepsake. Many of the artists will be at the wineries representing their art. The Sweet 116 event invites guests to enjoy decadent treats and delicious wines at seven wineries along Highway 116 near Sebastopol.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation. The Laguna Environmental Center will have a special Open House that day, also from 11am-4pm. Sweet 116 participants are welcomed to stop by to purchase lunch from the wonderful Fork Catering Truck (from 11am-1:30pm) and enjoy a picnic on the grounds with the beautiful views. People can also take a self-guided nature walk, enjoy the art exhibit in Heron Hall, or enjoy a Laguna Guide-led tour of the site and old farmhouse.
Tickets for the Sweet 116 event are $30 Per Person, $25 for Wine Club Members and $10 for Designated Drivers (glass not included for DD’s) and can be purchased at participating wineries — Balletto Vineyards & Winery, Dutton Estate Winery, Graton Ridge Cellars, Hook & Ladder (Sebastopol location), Martin Ray Winery, Russian River Vineyards, and Taft Street Winery.
