SUMMARY:The Ohlone Way
DESCRIPTION:Docents Keith Johnsgård and Jack Owicki will lead this leisurely 2-mile hike on the Alpine Pond\, Ipiwa\, and Butano View Trails to acquaint you with the Ohlone Indian way of life by pointing out plants they used for tools\, food\, medicine\, basket-making\, and other needs. Lunch features a talk on the unfolding 50\,000-year history of humans in America. (Note: This activity is intended for participants 18 years or older and is not suitable for younger children.) Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after October 4.    This Skyline Ridge Preserve activity will meet at the Russian Ridge Preserve parking lot located on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right). Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time.    Preregistration is required. Find out more at the MROSD page for this event.
