Docents Paul Vadopalas and Harry Cornbleet will lead this hike to discover animal tracks occurring in rolling meadows interspersed with trees, and along gullies. You’ll learn about animal life cycles and home ranges, as well as unique features. Scat will be investigated also to learn about predator-prey relationships. Bring a magnifying lens if you have one. This will be a 3-mile, leisurely-paced walk along the Alder Spring and Ancient Oaks Trails.

Meet at the Caltrans vista point opposite Russian Ridge Preserve gate RR-01. The parking area is located on Skyline Boulevard, 1.2 miles north of Page Mill Road and 6 miles south of Highway 84. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 35 minutes travel time.
