This 4.5-mile, moderately-paced hike will take you into the back of Pulgas Ridge Preserve to the top of the Dusky-footed Woodrat Trail via the Cordilleras Trail, and you’ll return on the Hassler, Dick Bishop, and Blue Oak Trails. Docents Bill and Marilyn Bauriedel will help you locate and identify fetid adder’s tongue, giant trillium, and mission bells as well as other blooming wildflowers that could be abundant in this year of above average rainfall.
Meet at the Pulgas Ridge Preserve parking lot. From I-280, exit Edgewood Road. Travel 3/4 mile east on Edgewood Road toward San Carlos/Redwood City. Turn left (north) on Crestview Drive, then immediately turn left on Edmonds Road. Follow Edmonds Rd. to the preserve entrance on the right.
