DESCRIPTION:Join docents Bob Segalla and Lou Wolner to explore what this Preserve has to offer. You can expect newts along the lush Peters Creek Trail and enjoy a tranquil pond\, green forests\, ridges\, and grasslands. You'll stop for an ocean view at the Stegner bench. This moderately-paced\, 5-mile\, 600-foot elevation change hike is suitable for capable children.    For this activity at Long Ridge Open Space Preserve\, meet at the Grizzly Flat trailhead on the west side of Skyline Boulevard 3.6 miles north of Highway 9\, or 3.3 miles south of Page Mill Road. If you are traveling from the north on Skyline Blvd.\, the pullout is just past Portola Heights Road on the right. From the south\, the pullout is near the Palo Alto city limits sign on the right.
