We will tour the newest Measure DD project at the south end of Lake Merritt, learning about the effort underway to reverse the long history of urban encroachment upon this tidal lagoon. We’ll visit the newly-opened channel, tidal marsh, and stormwater treatment features. We will learn how the water flow is managed by the flood control station at 7th Street, and discuss the upcoming projects that will help re-establish the connection between Lake Merritt and the Bay.
