Enjoy a leisurely-paced outing within the Stevens Creek watershed with docents Kate Gudmundson, Greg Hughes, and Laura Levin on this out and back 3-mile hike along the Zinfandel Trail. You’ll learn some of the ways a healthy watershed supports a rich diversity of species, including humans, whose lives depend on the complex interactions between water, geology, soils, vegetation, and wildlife.
Meet at the Picchetti Ranch Preserve parking lot. From the intersection of I-280 and Foothill Expressway, go 3.5 miles southwest (toward the mountains) on Foothill Boulevard/Stevens Canyon Road. Turn right on Montebello Road. The preserve is 0.5 miles up Montebello Rd. on the left.
