SUMMARY:6th Annual Trail Run &amp; Community Hike at Lynch Canyon
DESCRIPTION:Come out and enjoy fresh air\, spectacular views and great times at the Lynch Canyon Trail Run &amp; Community Hike. Run a 5K\, 10K\, or Half Marathon race\, or hike 2.5 miles at your own pace. All routes are 100% trail with outstanding views.    To run:  Register at www.lynchcanyontrailrun.com. Take I-80 Exit 36 toward Hiddenbrooke Parkway. Before entering the Hiddenbrooke development\, turn left on the frontage road (look for the small brown sign pointing to Lynch Canyon). Lynch Canyon is 1.7 miles down the frontage road. SUMMARY:Devil Dirt Ride: Diablo's First Mountain Biking Event to benefit Save Mount Diablo
DESCRIPTION:You won't want to miss the 1st year of Diablo's first mountain Biking event! We're hosting a dual distance mountain biking event at Castle Rock Park in Walnut Creek.  300 riders are expected to compete in the 7 mile and 9.5 mile lap distances. Prizes are awarded at the post event expo with snack and beverages for all.  All proceeds benefit Save Mount Diablo’s landconservation efforts.    More info: http://www.savemountdiablo.org/activities_events_dirt.html    &nbsp;    Thanks to the National Interscholastic Cycling Association and its local chapter NorCal for creating a course that is challenging yet safe for riders of all experience levels. Local high school students such as San Ramon Valley High School’s Mountain Biking Club will have a key role in helping to put on the event. This new event wouldn't be possible without them\, our volunteers\, park rangers\, and the Contra Costa County Sheriff's department.

Artists from all over the area will exhibit and sell their equisite artwork in a diversity of modalities including oil and watercolor paintings\, jewelry\, ceramics\, photography\, sculpture and more. A wonderful relaxing day with great wine and beer tasting as well as acoustic music for your listening pleasure. Food will also be available for sale.
