Say hello to Indian summer by joining Bay Nature and Environmental Traveling Companions (ETC) for an exciting day on the Bay and Angel Island.

We’ll meet at Schoonmaker Beach in Sausalito at 9:00 a.m., paddle over to Angel Island for a gourmet picnic and short hike with experienced naturalist Armando Quintero. We will return to Sausalito in our kayaks by 5:30 p.m.

On the water, we can expect to see some of the large numbers of waterfowl that return to the Bay in late summer and early fall, as well as resident harbor seals.

Kayaks, paddling gear, instruction, and lunch will be supplied by ETC, and are included in the $90 fee for the day. No previous kayak experience is required, though be advised that conditions on the Bay can be rough and windy, especially crossing Raccoon Strait.

This event is open to people of all abilities. When you sign up, let us know if you have any special needs. Children must be 12 years or older. Space is limited; reservations and prepayment are required. Reserve spaces by contacting Allison Maffei, ETC Kayak Program Coordinator, at kayak@etctrips.org or (415)474-7662, ext. 13.
