Docents will lead you on vigorous Nordic Walks of varying distances.
Enjoy the benefits of Nordic walking and you'll burn up to 40 percent more calories than traditional hiking, while reducing stress on your knees and hips. Docents Suzanne Schleek and Rebecca Pickart will lead you on these vigorous, fast-paced, strenuous, aerobic (no stopping) treks of varying distances (from five to seven miles) and elevation gains along a variety of scenic trails in a sampling of preserves.
If you have them, bring hiking poles for these walks; join in even if you don't.
Note: this hike will be approximately 4.5 miles. Meet at the Grizzly Flat trailhead.
