Help Save The Bay restore this beautiful site by maintaining the health of the many species of native plants - including mugwort, common aster and creeping wild rye - that make up this critical wetland habitat. Projects include: removing non-native plants, site monitoring, collecting native seeds, making plant cuttings and work in our on-site native plant nursery. This unique wetland was saved from development in the 1950s by concerned citizens and is now home to many native species, including shorebirds and anadromous fish such as steelhead trout. This program is part of Save The Bay's ongoing wetland restoration projects with our site partner the City of Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve.
