What kinds of organizations do we list?

Our directory is for nature-related organizations that do significant work in or very near the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. National organizations do not appear here unless they have active field offices in our region. Businesses do not appear here unless they are primarily involved in habitat research, restoration, or other work related to the natural world of the Bay Area.

What information do we need?

Email the following information to orgs@baynature.org and we'll make sure to add it to our list. Items marked with * are required.

• URL*
• Phone number
• Street address (required for your group to appear on our searchable map)
  
• Short description of your mission and programs (about 50-75 words) to appear on the site
  
• Organization type*

We have several set categories to help guide site visitors to the type of organization they are interested in. Choose at least one as your PRIMARY category, and then as many of the others as are appropriate for SECONDARY categories. (But don't overdo it!).

Our web editors will enter this information into our system and use it to assign keywords to your group's record, which will connect your organization's page to other relevant content on our site. We reserve the right to edit for space, clarity, and applicability of categories.
