Sweeping views of the south bay reward the hikers at this lightly visited preserve of forests and grasslands.
La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve sits west of Portola Valley, on the system of ridges that form the spine of the Peninsula. Nearly four miles of trails lead through evergreen thickets and over grassy hilltops, which offer excellent vistas of the surrounding valleys.
