At this Park

513 acre Park managed by: California Department of Fish and Game

Over 200 species of birds frequent this wetland complex, the second largest freshwater marsh in Northern California.

The Laguna de Santa Rosa is aunique ecological system that is comprised of a mosaic of open water, wetland, riparian forest, oak woodland, grassland and vernal pools. In the winter this patchwork of various habitats becomes one connected body of water. This restored habitat provides an important stopover for thousands ofbirds migrating along the Pacific Flyway.
